Movies-Making the Emotions Roll

Posted 4 months ago I just finished watching the movie "Uptown Girls" for the zillionth time (it's one of Mini-Me's favorites), and realized no matter how many times I watch it, I always cry during the last scene. No matter how much of the movie I've watched, I cry every time. My partner absolutely bawls during "Beaches". "Erin Brockovitch" gets me fired up and motivated. Does any one else have movies that brings out the deep, true emotions? |

| Posted 4 months ago "Erin Brockovitch" is definitely inspiring and one of my favourite films.I was saddened while watching "Kramer vs Kramer",It is really emotionally tough on children when their parents dont get along and decide to part ways especially when it involves a small child. Re-enlightenment is in the realization of the fact that we have only the present moment to live. |

| Posted 4 months ago I really do love How To Make an American Quilt. And I have yet to watch Little Women without bawling. It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not. - Unknown |

| Posted 4 months ago I am a sap when I watch emotional movies. I cried through the entire length of "Love Story". "Dr. Zhigavo" and "Beaches" are favorites of mine. I enjoyed Erin Brockovitch also. However, I prefer a suspenseful drama. Last night we saw "Shutter" and "The List". Donna Life is short. Embrace your friends and family with love. |

| Posted 4 months ago Million Dollar Baby did it for me. Just her sheer drive and determination to make her dream of boxing come true despite the odds was very emotional. |

OMG! That movie had me so fired up! I think I watched half of the movie standing up! Of course, I cried for an hour after, but what an emotional ride! |

| Posted 4 months ago What is more powerful than Schindler's List? I don't see how anyone can watch that movie and be unaffected. And I am not ashamed to say say, as a man, that an occasional movie can get to me... |

| Posted 4 months ago Over the weekend my SO and I watched P.S. I love you. OMG, I started crying from jump street. The movie was so heart tugging from the moment it starts and only gets better as it progresses. What a great movie! I think another one that really makes me feel emotional (and pissed) is Bastard Out of North Carolina. Good Movie but what a sad, sad story. Need Breeds Ingenuity!

How can I forget this one! If you do not breakdown watching this movie you are made of STONE. It's so emotionally draining. And the ending is gut wrenching. I think it's the only movie I've seen my husband sniffle to (other than the Lou Gehrig Story...) It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not. - Unknown |

My ex-husband (a Texan) and his very macho friend used to sniffle during the funeral scene in Steel Magnolias, a movie I highly recommend. You would probably enjoy it. Another one, believe it or not, that would get to them was Mulan. When she got bowed to by the emporer, you could hear the sniffles start. Who says men don't have hearts? |

| Posted 3 months ago I have to say that some of my movie choices lately have surprised me. It's probably just going through the change or something. LOL. Anyway, I've enjoyed Music and Lyrics, as well as Along Came Polly. Because one of my daughters loved it, I bought the movie Forrest Gump. I hated that movie at first, as Gump was so incredibly annoying. But by the time I had watched it the fifteenth time, I realized what a simple, tender-hearted man he was, so loyal to his Jenny. She was his girl no matter what she did, right down to the very end. Now, I snizzle at the end when he's saying good-bye after she dies as his wife. I guess it grew on me. But I never used to like chick flicks. Now, there is one that I did not like that everyone is raving about, and that's Mama Mia. Over here, it's rated as suitable to show 8 year olds. I would not watch it with a child twice that age, and I'm embarrassed to say that because it was so highly recommended by a couple of friends, I actually took my mother to see it with me! I wanted to go through the floor. Some of the scenes were really graphic, in my opinion, and there was a very sexual theme running through all of it. If this is what 8 year olds watch these days......oh, well, there's my rant for the day. |

| Posted 3 months ago The first time that I saw Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, I cried when his character was killed, because I imagined going through life if anything like that happened to my husband. (Also loved the scene with them making the clay pot together.) Jane G. Chambers
