I have a new job!!

Posted 4 months ago I'm now a Work Assignment Engineering Assistant for a global insurance company. I'll be responsible for updating work assignment/client info - making sure the engineers are updated on the same, scheduling their visits, and quality assurance (proofing client reports). I really like it - and I love the peace and calmness in comparison w/ my last job (HVAC Company). I can really concentrate better. The benefits are awesome - I have automatic life insurance at no cost to me, gym membership reimbursement, free counseling for my entire family if needed, bonus, etc... | Posted 4 months ago I got one to! Tomorrow we are going to discuss pay, he has an idea how miserable I am at my current place and he said he will discuss pay with me tomorrow as well. He knows how much I am being paid right now, should I worry he will pay me less? "The brick walls are not there to keep us out. Congratulations on your new job.Do not hesitate to negotiate your pay.Give him good reasons as to why you demand the price you you do.And always quote a range such that even if you got half of it,it would be a great deal for you.And I would say most importantly, compromise on your pay package only if you think this job would give you great opportunities to better your position, build up your skill set, boosts your career growth and future prospects. Re-enlightenment is in the realization of the fact that we have only the present moment to live. |

| Posted 3 months ago Thank you so much everyone for the kind words and msgs/comments. I'm still loving it. I'm going to try out for volleyball in the corp. challenge we're having w/ other companies (to benefit Special Olympics). I forgot to mention how I found it. I'd posted up my resume, through monster, to what ended up being a permanent placement agency called OM5Dallas, they helped get me the interview for my new job.
