1st Concert & most memorable

Posted 4 months ago My very first concert was Cyndi Lauper and I would say my most memorable concert is Blue October #1. Especially when Ryan Delahoussaye played the violin & mandolin; I just love the violin sound. There are people who say Blue October feels-depressed, lost, happy, confused. Then there are the fans, US the loyal friends; people who are ecstatic and sometimes overwhelmed deep within their music...only a true listener can comprehend Justin Furstenfeld lyrics/music no real words can describe the concert other than deep & unforgettable! Lyrics by Blue October: A heartbeat skip, relationship Inside a bubble bath An icing drip below your lip So we undo the math A sudden slip between My pathetic sedatives A real-life script of how Mistakes became our medicine, so Delay the hurtful words Of complicated overcast Please take the message that I'm Picking up my chin at last I said my confidence It gets stronger when you're next to me But we pray from miles away In quest for what we long to be.

Posted 4 months ago My first concert was Van Halen. I was probably 10 or 11 and I BEGGED my Dad to take me. I was in love with Eddie Van Halen (do not ask why!!!!). He ended up taking me and I was in heaven. Years later I saw them again with my husband but with Sammy Hagar as the lead. It was good but nothing like back in the 80's. I saw Madonna a couple of years and she put on an amazing show. I love that she works right thorugh it without an intermission. You know youre in for a great time. It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not. - Unknown

Posted 4 months ago My first and only concert so far was Enrique Iglesias in Singapore in April 2004.The stadium was'nt that packed as he is'nt exactly very popular here. The crowd was dominated by Europeans and Americans more than the local crowd. But nevertheless, for me it was fun as it was my first experience of attending a live performance of an internationally acclaimed singer. And I do like some of his songs..."Bailamos","Rythem Divine","Could I have this kiss forever","Not in love:"etc.I guess people were more interested to see Anna Kurnikova than Enrique :-). I'm a big fan of Yanni....so would love to attend his live performance someday. Re-enlightenment is in the realization of the fact that we have only the present moment to live.

Posted 4 months ago My first concert was Earth, Wind & Fire in Providence, RI, 1976. It was also my first "real" date with a boy. He picked me up in his souped up burnt orange "Duster". Watch out. Most memorable was The Us Festival in San Bernardino, CA, 1982. Headlining was a suave David Bowie (China Girl tour). Wow! Warm up bands were: Quarterflash, Missing Persons (awesome), U2 (only the 3rd or 4th band up - they weren't big yet), The Pretenders, Stevie Nicks, and Joe Walsh. The Woodstock-like atmosphere was intoxicating. But the sunburn I got hurt for weeks. Ouch. "There is no old age. There is, as there always was, just you." (Carol Matthau)

Posted 4 months ago Korn/Metallica my parents took me for my b day. There was a blizzzard that day and it took us 3 hours to get there and they were 2 hours late to start but they bought afterwards no one could go home so the bands had pizza sent over and pillows and blankets and cots put out. We stayed at the motel darn it! "The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough."-Randy Pausch

Posted 4 months ago I had to wait until I was a senior in high school before my mom would even consider letting me go to a concert. She had a picture in her mind that all people did at those things was drink, drug and party. At age 17 she finally let me go and my first concert, which was Rick Springfield. The concert itself although great was uneventful, it was the walk back to the car where I got into trouble. I had a pair of binoculars hanging around my neck. As we walked one of my friends went to take them off but pulled up before I could duck out of the way. Needless to say the fat-bloodied lip appeared immediately. Of course when I walked in the door my mom freaked and assumed we had gotten into some kind of fight. She even called my friend the next day to verify my story. After that I was at a concert at least once a month! Cindy Stand for something or else you will fall for anything

Posted 3 months ago My first concert was Charlie Daniels band in New Jersey. We were a bunch of cowboy want-a-bees.Since then I've been to numerous rock concerts. I sneak my camera in so I have alot of concert shots. Most memorable was Bon Jovi in Dallas, TX because he stepped back and looked staight at me. I grabbed my camera and ran (I've been caught before). Most entertaining was Ingwie Malmstein Dallas, TX. I couldn't stop shooting. Best sound was Emerson, Lake and Powell (yes Powell), You could feel the drum beat in your seat.

Posted 3 months ago wow, I'll say. She's had people opening for her for awhile now. Now, Reba. There's a voice for you. I love the way she does "Cathy's Clown". Did you see her video on the Country Music Network, or TNN, about "That's the night the lights went out in Georgia?" I thought it was awesome.

Posted about 1 month ago My first concert was Neil Young after he was old - I left after two songs. My favorite concert was Rush - it was general admission and I was on the floor about 3 rows back - I caught the drumstick and then the guy in front of me just took it from me - I looked at the guy I was with giving him "the look" to get it back. My date was scared so I tried to get it back myself to no avail. Needless to say, that was out last date. Rush rocked the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted 13 days ago I grew up in Philadelphia and I got to see some really great bands play in some really small places. I won't get into the club scene, though I feel obligated to say that I saw The Boss play at the park. My first major concert was the Bait and Trap tour. That's Poison and Ratt. They played The Spectrum in Philadelphia and both bands were amazing. It was also really cool to hang out with them afterwards. See, I saw Poison play in one of those small, dark, smokey clubs in Pittsburgh and Bobby remembered my friends and I. He saw us from the bus and had one of the road crew members, that we knew, give us each a pass to party with the boyz afer work. Great Night. That, however is not my most memorable show. My most memorable concert was when KISS reunited and went on tour. I can't even describe to you what it was like to watch KISS play. That night is a topic in itself. I felt so honored and they did such a Great Job!! I got to see LEGENDS in the flesh. They PUT ON A SHOW. It wasn't like it is now where so many stars just come out and sing their CD or have the dancers all over the place til your not supposed to recognize they're not REALLY singing. KISS was AWESOME. Whenever I go to a show now that's what I look for. I look for a KISS SIZE performance and sadly the only one who comes close is His Purple Majesty...PRINCE. Bret and I have since grown apart....wonder if I should look him up... sknight
