What is the nicest gift you have received from your spouse or SO?

Posted 3 months ago Mine was a surprise weekend trip. DH booked two days in an old inn in MA, and he made reservations for a special dinner at the inn. On the drive there, we stopped at glass shops and antique stores to browse. |

| Posted 3 months ago Sounds relaxing Donna. I would have to say that the nicest gift my SO has ever given me was a ring that belonged to his mother. It is a simple gold band but by far the most beautiful gift I have ever received from a man of significance in my life. Need Breeds Ingenuity! |

| Posted 3 months ago The most meaningful gift was from spouse AND kids- this past Mothers Day I came home from work to see a giant homemade wall sized poster filled with drawings, notes, hand tracing, and "I love you's" hanging up. Best 'present' was when I turned 30- he gave me a fancy new bike so we could bike ride together. Funny...at the time, I was first offended thinking it was a 'hint' for me to lose weight or something. I was surprised and still use the bike today (well, not today...I am sliming out of any exercise today) :) |

| Posted 3 months ago My husband doesn't do the normal thing when buying gifts. He's really into his cars, they are his baby's. One year he went and had an extra key made to his baby that he'd just finish rebuilding and painting. Then he put the key in a box and hid it. On Christmas morning he gave me a clue to where he had hid my gift. It may sound weird but the thought he put into the hunt and actually giving me a key to his car made this one of the best gifts I could have gotten that year. |

| Posted 3 months ago My engagement ring is probably the nicest gift I've received from a SO. Nothing fancy, not laced in diamonds, but that which comes from the heart reaches the heart. We had been engaged 4 months before he gave it to me, but it was well worth the wait. I woke up one night at about 4 am with a stuffy nose and sneezing all over the place from allergies. When I came back in the bedroom, he said, 'there maybe something on the dresser that will help your allergies."...that sounded like heaven to me, because i was tired of sneezing. i'm searching all around the dresser looking for this magical pill, and all i found was a white box wrapped in a blue ribbon. Of course I stopped sneezing and instantly became curious. So I grabbed the box, sat on the side of the bed, and opened it...I looked up, and he was on one knee asking me to marry him (again). Needless to say the tears began to flow, i said yes (again), and I didn't sneeze anymore for the next few hours. (LOL) Ms. Antoinette M. Brown I am a divine original fashioned by God to be radiantly beautiful! |

| Posted 3 months ago Momo's; they are Nepali Dumplings and they are sooo good! My uncle has already told me if we get a divorce my husband is coming to live with them.... | Posted 3 months ago The best gift my husband ever got me was a trip to Aruba. We had a tough year and had been trying to conceive. He bought tickets for around my birthday so we could get out of our element, relax and have a good time together. The day before we were to leave I wasn't feeling very well so we went to the doctor. Guess what? I was pregnant after 6 years of trying!!!!! It was the most unbelievable trip of our lives...Aruba was beautiful and the people are so friendly. It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not. - Unknown |

| Posted 3 months ago My ex's -WIFE (ya....he wasn't married when I was with him. I found out he was engaged and reamed him a new one then dumped him). She and I met when I broke it off with her now-hubby. I actually went to her to apologize, that I didn't even know he was hers. She forgave me and asked me why I had been with him. (security issues, I guess) I told her that he promised that he would give me the family I craved since I was a little kid. Only, I never got pregnant, lucky I guess.... I told her I really wanted a family... And she just turned me to look her full in the eye, smiled at me, and told me: "You are a very beautiful girl, Nadine. And you would be so very beautiful pregnant and as a mother. Your children will love you, and I am sure you will adore them and try to not let them go. You have my full respect for everything you have done today, by comming here and telling me what had gone on, and just being who you are." I am the Godmother of her two sets of twins. And I will never forget the honor of having the Respect of a complete Stranger. "Don't Give Up Until You're Done Trying."

| Posted 3 months ago I told abt this in another forum, but oh well. My hubby isn't romantic, but he's not entirely unromantic either. I guess he has spurts of romanticism. He bought me that Givenchi perfume w/ my first name scribed on the bottle. I knew it may not have been his idea, but it still made me smile and "aahhhwww!!". I love it! Plus I actually love the fragrance on me. "People will forget what you say, they will forget what you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel!"-Unknown |

| Posted 3 months ago My wonderful ex-boyfriend, with whom I am still best friends, would send me hand-made postcards and letters whenever we were far apart, which happened often for a while. It was so nice to get something made by his own hands, especially for me. Daniela

| Posted 3 months ago Last year for Christmas, my current honey came to visit me for the first time and noticed my collection of crosses. I have about 20-30 beautiful crosses from all over the world. He surprised me with a KOA wood cross to add to that collection. KOA wood is only grown on the highest point in Maui...and they carve pieces from the dead and fallen pieces of this wood...so all pieces are treasures....made me cry and realize how special he is! :-) |

| Posted 2 months ago I've posted here before but I must update it. I'm coming to learn that some of the best gifts are as simple as honest words! Anthony and I have the tendency to IM each other all day and today he sent me a couple of messages that made me feel so good. You have to understand that sometimes I can act a fool when I'm alone in a room. LOL I have to share them w/ya'll. This is how it all read... Me: I love you. You make me laugh. Need Breeds Ingenuity! |

| Posted 2 months ago Thanks KAT for your post. My greatest gift from Earl, is his love, and that he makes sure I know he loves me. It has nothing to do with trips, or jewelry. It's his sweet words, his gentle touch when he climbs into bed with me, the way he just looks at me while I'm doing something. Ann M. Evanston, MA CEO Zena Entreprises

| Posted 2 months ago I completely understand simplicity.
The best gift from my SO: Just before departing on a long road trip (my SO could not go) I walked out to the car and found a CD player and a bag of chocolates sitting on the front seat. |

| Posted 23 days ago I have thought hard about this trying to pick one thing. I would have to say his best gift he didnt actually give me. It is his kids! The opportunity to know and fall head over heels for those babies! watching him with them is very comforting and they are all such great kids. I know that sounds dumb but seriously they are the best gift he ever could give me! Majestic Service

| Posted 21 days ago The way he loves my kids. My DH is 9 years younger than me. He was a 31 year old confirmed batchelor (never even had a roomate) when he took on this woman and her 7 kids! Not everyone could understand why a woman with 5 biological children would keep her two stepsons when she divorced. DH has never seen them as anything but mine and loves them all as if they were his own. Considering that their fathers are a waste of space, that is the greatest gift he could ever give me. My boys will tell you they don't have a dad, they have a Mike, and that is much better! |

| Posted 21 days ago When we were both on active duty, I had foot surgery, the miliary hospital was 2 hours from our house. And it happen to fall right before he had to leave for Drill Instructor School and I was still in the hospital when he left. I hopped in to our house on my crutches, once I was released from the hospital, already missing him and on the CD player there was a note that said "press play". When I did, Elvis started signing "Love Me Tender". |
