Why I LOVE working from home!
Posted 5 months ago I love working in the comfort of my own home! I worked outside the home in corporate America for 30 years - commuting 3 hours a day for 17 of those years! I missed SO much of my kids growing up! When the career change came and the opportunity to work from home presented itself, well what can I say except "I'm in heaven!" Now, instead of working for someone else, on their time, producing to their expectations and always adhering to the "company policy" regardless of how it impacted our customers and patients, I have the ability to be flexible with a whole lot of things! I have the honor of helping people to help themselves. I truly love what I do and I know that it matters! So how about you? How many of you are in love with what you do? What do you view as downsides or upsides to working at home? Maybe you want to work from home, but are apprehensive about taking that first step. Share your questions and your stories. |

| Posted 5 months ago I love working at home. Sometimes it's a bit of a disadvantage because the office never closes. I'm not forced by locked doors to quit working for the day, and since I live alone, I frequently work late into the night. For instance, right now, it's your early afternoon, but it's 10.35 here, and I know that once again, I will likely be up until about 3am working on something. But it's also an advantage that the office never closes because I'm not restricted to having to only work during certain hours if a project needs more of my time for awhile. I guess we just have to know the balance, and being your own boss gives you the ability to do that. |

| Posted 3 months ago mrslabel: I would be interested in working at home if I could find something legitimate that I could do. You never know these days without a reference if a job is what it advertises to be or not. Tell me how you came about yours. "Don't tell GOD how BIG your storm is.

| Posted 3 months ago I am currently working from home after 23 yrs at an insurance company. I LOVE that I can pick up and work at ANY time and go to the beach anytime...I love making my own hours. I am very driven so I am creating more than I am at the beach...and it helps to have this mentality so all my "work" is not getting a tan!! I guess the hardest thing is looking up new clients...this means getting out of the house and searching for them and putting on the game face. I am better at creating....not the selling piece...but I am learning I need to stop saying that...and to think positively to create more selling success for myself! I love the fact that there are not a million personalities to work with (only my crazy multiple personalities!! LOL!!) I have been so much more relaxed and energetic having made the move away from corporate america!! It took time and bravery...but it can be yours too!!
I own the company bydeneen.com.....and am trying to think of new things to decorate every day!! :-) |

This is really great, Deneen! Well done you! I have to say that I find getting out and getting new clients to be the hard part, as well, but only because the work itself is my favourite part of it all! I'd rather be working, but we can't do that without someone to work for, so we shall have to encourage one another in getting that done! |

| Posted 3 months ago After months of searching for a job (and being at home anyway) I just this week started working on my own home business. I'm doing research marketing that I have done on an off since I was in high school. I just never thought of it as an income. I'm still busy setting everything up and probably won't see any direct cash for about a month but at least I feel like I'm doing something. I'm still looking for a regular job for now. I look at it this way, if I land a regular job I can work at it for a month or two and still do my home business. If my home business takes off like I hope it will, I won't need that outside job. | Posted 3 months ago i agree with the view point. while working at office, you are always under constant pressure for time, not being able to devote even a little time to yourself, not to mention all the small pleasures in life that are lost in this mad race against time. now that i am working from home, i am suddenly left with more time for myself, for looking at things and happenings around me in a clearer perspective, with more time for my kids and family. looks like i took a wise decision in resigning a high paid but strenuous job and in deciding to work from home. kudos to all the work-from-home women. |

I work from home and love it. I can set my own hours, set my own pace, and I love what I do. I send cards, yep, I send cards and help others to become card senders. It's a blast! Interested? Check it out http://www.SendoutCards.com/JeanBentley turn your speaker up and the narrator will walk you through sending out a free card. This is a real card, not at e-card. Its so neat you have to see it and try it to believe it. Jean Bentley

| Posted 2 months ago I just started working from home not to long ago, but this week has been a challenge. My condo builiding is undergoing a facelift and they are now starting to work closer to my unit. The noise is very loud to say the least. Luckily, most of my customers use e-mail, so I don't have to worry about being heard over the phone that much but ,I may have to take my computer and work elsewhere very soon I think. I think for now I am going to try to tough it out!

| Posted 2 months ago I have to say, I'm seriously considering getting a laptop because I would love to be able to take my computer with me and go wherever I want to go whilst not missing a day of work doing it. |
