I once was visiting someone who had a friend living in Colombia.  He shipped them a packet of "real" Colombian coffee.  It seems that they do not export the very best there, only the second best.  I thought that sounded fair enough, since they do the work, but wasn't sure if that were the case, since the best is the money-maker.  Well, we made a pot of it, and I could not believe how exquisite it was!  It was heaven in a cup, and that's no lie.  I've never tasted anything like it since, and I love Colombian.  Has anyone else had this kind of experience with a coffee?

seabrownthree- You should have 'real' Javanese coffee...stuff is heaven!  My grandma brings it from Indonesia when she visits, I can see why they hold it back it is SOO good!  My grandma says americans dont know the difference so why should they get it?  We 'pollute' it with cream and sugar and take away the TASTE and the SMELL of it, and that we are unappreciative of it and I do believe she is right!

oh, I have a friend who is a "coffee snob", and he says the exact same thing!  If it's any comfort, we Brits put milk in both tea and coffee as a standard.  If you don't want milk, you have to say so.  But I'm going to write that one down and ask him about it.  He orders his coffee online, but I'll bet he can't find a way to get that one!  Thanks.

My sister bought us Kona coffef from Hawai one year, and it was so smooth. We love coffee even though we only drink two cups every day. For daily use, we buy Gevalia traditional blend.

You never enjoyed a good, rich tasting coffee unless you have tasted the world re-nowned Jamaican Blue mountain coffee.

It is well known for its aroma and its a favourite with the Japanese so much that they have invested heavily in the sector.

There are many want-to-be Blue Mountain Coffee , thus one must ensure the authenticity of the labeling.

When You have tasted Blue Mountain Coffee, you won't try another. Thats the truth.

My favorite coffee beans are Kona! When I lived in Southern Oregon I found the best coffee place ever, its called Bad A** Coffee and they use 100% Kona.

I forgot to comment about the KONA coffee I bring back from Maui!  It is very expensive...but my whole team would love it if I brought it in for them...they would even come from units near mine and beg for a cup!!!  Everyone seems to have a love for KONA!  I even had another team steal my bag of coffee..we noticed one morning that the ground coffee was dipped into!!!  WOW!   LOL

A very good coffee (don't ask how its made, think of it like hot dogs you KNOW its meat you just dont know what TYPE of meat it is) it is called Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee.  My grandma brings it from Indonesia and we decend on her like the locusts we are to get our baggie!
