I just read an interesting article that ask celebrities what would they say to their younger self.   I would say, "Chill out your dreams don't have to expire just because you haven't completed them by a certain age or during a set time frame."    What would you say to your younger self?

Enjoy what you have and who you are now and quit being so hard on yourself!

This is such an awesome question to pose.  I'm having a tough time with this one.  I would probably tell myself that I AM WHO I AM and not what I look like and to accept who I am all the way around.

I would tell my younger self, that "even when times seem rough, keep your head up and press toward the mark because the blessings at the finish line are worth every minute of the struggle."

What my grandparents always say, 'Rome was not built in a day"

Meaning life's journey is accomplished one day at a time, do not expect life to be all good in one attempt at anything. It is not without struggles and pitfalls to help us learn and grow.

I would tell myself to enjoy what you have now instead of worrying about what you will have in the future. Also to be more daring and not play it safe, you have nothing to lose. More patience couldn't hurt either...

Life is too short,so make the most of it.Stop worrying and start living.

What would I tell my younger self? Hmmm.... Your life is not going to be anything at all what you expect.....But.... it will be happier than what you could ever imagine...

Something similar to what I tell my daughter (maybe a little too often): "You are strong, smart, beautiful, & precious. You can do and be anything you desire - WITH/WITHOUT a man in your life. You are loved NO MATTER WHAT. You'll always have mommy in your life to come to with ANYTHING. Sometimes I may be hurt or dissappointed, but my love for you will never change and I'll always do my best to understand and help you." And what I'll tell her when she's older: "If you love someone, really and truly love someone, tell them before it's too late. You never want to look back on your life and wonder what could've been. But, always be careful who you let yourself fall in love with. If he has a short temper, is controlling, obsessive, or abusive early or later on - let him go. YOU DESERVE BETTER than that, no matter what he or anyone else says. Don't let yourself believe this isn't true and if you find yourself in that place - you can come to me. I'll remind you how wonderful you are."

Also: Spend more time with the ones you love. Particularily Grandaddy. He'll be gone too soon.

You don't need acceptance from others, your own is enough.

Complete an internship before graduation and try really hard to get a job with that company. Sow in good soil because good fruits last longer than rotten ones. Stay in the Will of God...Now you on the right track....Keep up the great work...I'll meet you in a few yrs...I Luv U Very Much!!!

I can't say it any better than Shakespeare:  "To thine own self be true."

Embrace a life of faith, hope, and love...

  1. The transcendent nature of faith makes it possible to soar above the limitations of your rational mind

  2. Hope will keep you moving along despite fear, loss, and obstacles

  3. Love is the power to choose what is truly good, better, or best regarding yourself, and those you care about
