| Posted 2 days ago Criticism is constructive when it provides some positive feedback on improving and ways do things better. It's destructive when it just belittles you without proposing better ideas or solutions. |

| Posted 2 days ago AM_Morgan is right: Criticism can come in very different ways. Constructive criticism provides not just feedback on improving, but also validates and commends the work that's also been done. It frames the criticism as, "This is good, and this is how it can be better." Destructive criticism can be framed as: "This is how you should be doing it." |

I had a boss who never gave me feedback until my yearly review....talk about blindsiding! I would have been more than happy to hear her out about improving the quality of my work! Let me hear it....and I agree with the above quote...there are kind ways to improve performance through constructive criticism. |
