Hello everyone,

This is my first time joining a group like this.  I have joined a couple of other groups on this site.  The reason that I joined this one is because I've recently finished school and am trying to find work that I can do from home.  I have 3 children of my own, plus a foster child, and I am single.  I have very little help.  I've tried to find work from home opportunities, and it seems that most are scams.  I'm now worried to consider any offer to be legit.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Maybe let me know about some copanies, or just where to start.  I would really appreciate it.

Have you thought about freelance work - such as writing, graphic design, or administrative work? There are a lot of freelance sites on the web that you can check into such as Sun Oasis. Or, contact a employment agency such as Kelly Services, Carlile Personnel, etc., to see if they have any calling for at home workers. Those are just a few suggestions. Hope this helps. Good luck! Connie

Welcome to WomenCo., Brandy!

CastelC offered some good suggestions for you. You should definitely look at telecommuting positions such as virtual assistanting and the like.

Welcome Brandy to WomenCo - Congratulations on finishing school -  Yes, there are a lot of scams and most of them promise quick finanical rewards.   You have discovered the truth.  There are no short cuts to building a career.    The suggestions posted are good ones.  It will take you doing the research.  Here is a web page from Washington Post, which is a pretty reliable source:   http://allbusiness.washingtonpost.com/3473102-1.html#2976313   If you haven't already, join the WomenCo "Working Moms" group as well as "Career Changers"

You have a lot on your plate Brandy.  As difficult as it is, you can only do one thing well at a time, so be patient with yourself.      TM
