Posted 7 months ago I just published a memoir, already discussed in a posting on publications. Now i am writing a biography of my mother, who was a truly remarkable woman. In addition, i write plays--two of which have been performed by a small theater group. I directed them and had a role in the plays as well. I have never blogged, and, in truth, while I know that blogging exists and is commonly done, I don't really know what a blog is or how you do it. Can someone enlighten me?

Posted 7 months ago I'm use to be a short-story writer. And as a college student,I am now a research paper writer and a make stuff up as you go along writer. I have been known to write poetry but need the right impetus and science seems to drain my creativity. Mostly whatever I write however is sad, as my only accomplished way of ending my story is killing off my main character. :)

Posted 7 months ago My 1st book, "Connection Moments -- The Couple," is a humorous guide to understanding the differences between men and women. Each short chapter is a funny interaction between a husband and a wife, then at the end of the chapter we explain why she and he behaved the way they did. I co-wrote it with my partner, (who's also my husband), Bill. We're Behaviorists with particular expertise in gender-specific differences. "Connection Moments -- The Couple," is an award-winning finalist of "Best Books of 2006," for the relationship category. One reviewer exclaimed, "It's the user manual that never came with my husband!" It can be purchased at Amazon.com or through our website (www.connectionmoments.com). You can also read excerpts at our website, and we sell it for $20 (less expensive than Amazon). Bill and I are working on our next book, "15 Reasons Why You Did That!" It's a humorous guide to understanding human behavior.

Posted 7 months ago I have a blog that I have been writing on for about 4-5 months. I have a ton of poetry that I keep promising myself I'm going to bundle up and send off to publishers, but I have yet to do it. I want to write and publish a memoir. The memoir will most likely be all of my blogging and journaling combined somehow so that it follows some sense of logic.

Posted 7 months ago Here's a question: Can anyone be a writer?

Posted 7 months ago I write everything from mystery to romance, fiction and non-fiction. I like to try new things and have found I do not have a talent for writing comedies. I would love to become an editor. My pet peeves are misspelled words, grammar not used correctly or facts not checked. I always catch this stuff in newspapers, magazines and books. I can also catch a "flub" in movies because I pay close attention to detail. Cindy Stand for something or else you will fall for anything

Posted 6 months ago My creative writing consists mainly of short-stories. These are stories of inspiration, hope, compassion, love, adventure, parable, and are made up of my own life experiences, accomplishments, defeats, redemption, and triumphs. Also, a lot of it is based around my family interactions, collaborations, and experiences in a family of ten children with a Pastor as a father and an Evangelist as a mother. My Christian writings are all inspirational and are directed mainly at uplifting the lives, ambitions, and guidance for women seeking help, compassion, sisterhood and fellowship. I am so happy I found WomenCo, and especially this site because I feel strongly that there are great women of the future out there with great things to say and do in this world. WE NEED TO DEVELOP A SISTERHOOD! Lets' put away the pettiness, griping, jeolousy and pain of the past and be each other's best friends. Your sister in Christ, Elizabeth Harris

Posted 5 months ago I've done blogging, poetry and have finished writing one book. I've begun another, and need to get back to work on it. Though I've copyrighted, I've never published. I've looked into self-publishing and e-publishing, and I think that's the way to go. Now, copyright laws have caught up to a large extent to the world of technology, so anything that you write and put online is already "said" as copyrighted. There is a copyrights website that explains all of that, if anyone wants to know about it. I'm going to get busy and put some things on here. I've been pretty busy, but I'm here because I want to do more.

Posted 5 months ago I used journal writing as a way to vent my frustrations after spinal surgery. I could not drive or walk upstairs so writing became my release.I enjoy writing poetry and wrote books for my children when they were small. Everyone I know says I should write a book. If I do, it will be non-fiction since I like to do intensive research.

Posted 2 months ago I write a weekly blog on issues for women in business, and in my spare time, I am writing a science fiction/fantasy novel that I hope to see published one day. It's SO nice to see so many other writers here on WomenCo - we can support each other through writer's block, the publishing process, etc. Phyllis R. Neill, www.shementor.com
