| Posted about 1 month ago I'm just not too sure of how things will play themselves out. My husband seems to think that he's not working for the "working class" and that his agenda will benefit the already wealthy. I'm just don't know yet. I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say. Thanks for starting this; you have such good ideas for topics. Warmly, ~Angie Angie Toussaint

| Posted about 1 month ago I hope Obama's stimulus plan includes job retraining for the thousands of unemployed and underemployed workers. Too many times grandiose plans fall short of obtaining their objectives. People cannot spend money and stimulate the economy if they do not have jobs. Donna Life is short. | Posted about 1 month ago The Stimulus Plan that the Obama Administration is planning to release as it stands is Joe Biden's old stimulus plan from over a year ago and Angie your husband is right, it will not have a direct effect on the working class unless the heads of corporations decide to do what the owners of Peer Ball Bearings did. Peer is a company that's based in Wisconson or Indiana, I forget which, but was recently brought out by a Swiss Company. The outgoing owners had it put into writing that none of the current 250 workers would loose their jobs and that the current profit to the outgoing owners was to be split among those workers based on their time with the company. The net profit to the outgoing owners was something like 1.6 million dollars. So...do the math on that! There was one guy who has been with the company for 20 plus years and he received a bounus of 35-45k. That's a stimulus plan!! I'm hoping that Obama reviews the Biden Stimulus plan and makes some revisions otherwise we're going to find ourselves in this situation a lot longer than we anticipated. side note: something to keep your eyes on is all the purchasing of our companies by forgien companies. The talk is still out there about Budweiser being purchased by a company in South Africa. Miller is currently owned by a Swiss Corporation as well. This is the stuff you may not find on your local news but the information is out there and it's coming from some pretty solid leads. NAFTA has really sucked us in and that's why what happens in one market effects markets around the world so when we go south we take a whole bunch of people with us.
