| Posted about 1 month ago Working in a family owned business is difficult, and the family is always right. I know of some very nasty incidents that my neighbor encountered, and she finally had enough. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Oh, god, I am RIGHT there with you. The place I work for is FULL of relatives; makes me wonder how I got hired in the first place, since I'm not related. One of the assistants was black-listed at one point because she messed up a lot. But her dad is one of the higher-ups, so she got re-hired anyway. Of course. UGH! |
I was in an office that was family-owned, family run, and it took me a matter of about 6 weeks to have my fill. If ANYthing went wrong, it was me. There was NEVER any question. I realized winthin the month that I was in a no-win situation, and it was destroying my pschye. I figured my self-esteem was worth more than the paycheck, so I gave my two weeks notice, with a big smile on my face.
