Black Friday

Posted about 1 month ago How many of you go shopping on black Friday or have an annual ritual? I used to be one of those people who were at the stores with my friends at 3 in the morning with my cup of joe. It was a lot of fun. Now I avoid it like the plague and do most of my shopping on-line in my jammies. It's not who you are that holds you back. It's who you think you're not. - Unknown |

| Posted about 1 month ago I do not miss arising at 3 am to hit the toy stores to buy sale bargains. We did this for years when our kids were small. Now that they are grown, they want gift cards or $$! I shop online whenever I can and avoid retail stores until the holiday frenzy is done. I will shop for my Mom (from my Dad) and drop ship the presents to my sister who will wrap them since we are flying home for the holidays. Donna Life is short. | Posted about 1 month ago I definitely used to wake up at the crack of dawn to catch the best deals. But I feel like retailers started opening earlier & earlier that it soon became unmanageable! And don't get me started on the lines! Angela, I'm right there with you: shop online & in your jammies!! If the retailer isn't already offering free shipping, you can usually do a quick Google search for shipping & discount codes. Anna

| Posted about 1 month ago I did it once and will never do it again. I can't stand all the crowds, parking, rude ppl etc. I'd much rather get my stuff on a regular shopping day...I actually spend less money that way. When you feel rushed and it's crowded, I think you're more likely to impulse buy than make wise decisions about how many things you're buying and/or how much the things cost. | Posted about 1 month ago I MUST be out of it! I have NEVER even thought of going shopping on Black Friday. Never! I can't even figure out why it's called Black Friday. I am considering this year going to a tree lighting on that evening. We'll see if I actually do it Gail Gail Chadbourne

| Posted about 1 month ago Yes, I was one of the lunatics that awakened at midnight, to stand in a line for hours BEFORE the store evened opened, to be bullied and hurried and berated my "happy" shoppers...but no longer! Some of my own customers lifted the veil over my eyes, and said, "Why aren't you using your own service?" (An AHA moment...sometimes it takes me longer.) I do free gift wrap, free delivery and free shipping for my customers, and I get it for half price! With the men's line being so popular now, and the regular line so well received, well...my shopping is thankfully a whole lot easier! There are only a few on my list (the babies) that I don't get Mary Kay goodies for - and now, everyone on my list will drop hints months in advance about which products they'd like! So, no more mall trips for me...I can go on-line to Babies R Us, while my clients go on-line to shop through ME! www.marykay.com/CRabel

| Posted about 1 month ago Last year, I shopped for my Dad a few weeks before Thanksgiving and waited in line two hours. Since I still had a long line ahead of me at the checkout, I took everything and put the items on hold. I returned the next morning and the lines were worse. I went home and ordered online instead. If I can get the gifts on line for comparable prices, shopping is so much easier. Donna Life is short. Embrace your friends and family with love. |
