I'm a huge of mellow music, especially while I work. I'm listening to Rosie Thomas right now. Another favorite of mine is Charlotte Kendrick. Anyone have a female singer to share?

I love Aimee Mann. She did most of the Magnolia soundtrack; it was so well integrated to the film, and I still remember the movie every time I hear one of her songs.

leaving out the old...since the list could go on and on; I will add to the current list of newbies:

Michele is a favorite for sure, thanks for the review...nora jones, is another fav...I'll do a review later...love ani, love sarah m, and some others mentioned; but how about these for those who want more:

  • tracy chapman

  • joss stone ( a big time, personal fav)

  • sade (ok, one old one, but I've noticed alot dont know her artistry, one of the top five by far)

  • goaple

  • amel larrieux (a personal favorite, and she has a new albulm out now) Bravebird is the old one...lovely!

  • floetry ( another personal wow wow fav, love the elements of poetry and slam artistry)

I can tolerate, Badu and Jill Scott but far are not on my playlist or fav...alot of women love them both, though...

well, there are few on the men side that wow me too:

  • Robin Thicke

  • Kem - Albulm II

  • Remy Shand

ok, peace ladies...

I plug into Pandora Radio when I'm at work unless the professor is here playing classical or opera. I love that stuff.

My favourites are Apocalyptica (a rock band that uses cellos), Portishead, Frank Sinatra and others of that genre, and perhaps my top favourite is a rock band called 10 Years.

I like to mix up the mellow with the bouncy. It keeps me feeling alive. =)

I like Enya, Dido, Nora Jones, Sarah Laughlin, Alison Krauss, and I'm sure I'll think of more when my head clears a little more!
