I've been a big fan of both musicians for just over ten years now.

So, which one is better?

I like them both but I'm going to go with Ani DiFranco. Her songs are great and the music talent... amazing!

Tori,  I would say, but then again I have never heard of Ani Difranco and I bet my hubby probably has and will tease me mercifully for this....

Not fair!  It's like asking you to choose between a chocolate bar and a chocolate lollipop!

However, if forced at gunpoint, I'd have to say Tori Amos, mainly because I am a pianist myself and admire her originality in her songwriting.  HOWEVER...I have seen Ani live more than 10 times (believe it or not, she makes her way down to Alabama and Georgia quite a bit), and she always gives an almost possessed performance that leaves you talking about it weeks later.
