I happen to love Janet Evanovich's series about Stephanie Plum bounty hunter! Every time I meet a woman who reads them, we always have our favorite laugh until you hurt moment from one of the books.

What is one of your favorite Stephanie Plum situations? (Could be Lulu, grandma - anyone in the book!)

I love, love, love Stephanie Plum!  She is hilarious.  I have so many favorite Stephanie moments I don't know where to begin.  Let's see, there was the time she was attacked by birds in the park, when she was chased down by dogs, and of course when any one of her several cars get blown to pieces!  And though I love her with Joe Morelli (he keeps her grounded) I do also like the scenes she has with Ranger.   I've read all the books and have not tired of them yet.  Anyone else a Stephanie fan?

I so agree! Remember one of the first books when she ended up handcuffed naked to her shower curtain pole and her self dialogue about who she should call? Hilarious!

I completely agree - the dialogue is the best part!!  I also love the Motor Mouth series.  Love the way she can keep you laughing with all the impossible situations that poor Stephanie gets herself stuck in (and all the ways to destroy every car she touches - except the old clunker!!).  Janet doesn't make her characters beautiful to the point of larger-than-life - they are flawed and human.  That's one of the reasons why they are all so dear to my heart.  Can't wait for the next one!!!

so true, and then there is LuLu! Got to love LuLu! Remember when she was on the meat diet? When the dogs were chasing her and she's running down the street throwing bacon out of the bag! LOL!

No series has made me laugh so hard!

I have to say, I almost peed my pants reading Stephanie's description of Grandma Mazur when she joined Sally Sweets band. The cone bra made me almost loose it.

I looooove Lula and Grandma Mazur!  They have so much sass and spunk!  Stephanie is hilarious as well and she inspires me to just go do it, whatever it is, because no matter what goes wrong (and something will) I can survive it and it can't be as bad as what happens to her LOL

I recently gave a friend the first 3 volumes of "Stephanie Plum" by Janet Evanovich.  I told her that it was the only author that has ever made me laugh out loud while reading it.  She didn't believe me!!  I told her to wait until she got to Grandma....after the weekend she admitted to me that she also, laughed right out loud when reading it.

I guess it's worse to laugh right out loud in the Hallmark store with people around tho....right?
