Use this thread to talk about your favorite female musicians.

And please - no Kelly Clarkson. Kylie Minogue is acceptable.

They're very good! Excellent music for working. The female rock-stars I have admired growing up (Kittie, Siouxie Sioux, Courtney Love, etc.) - not so excellent for a work environment :)

Don't know if anyone is into Christian Rock...if so, anything from Superchic is a must have...check out their album, "Regeneration," for some great workout stuff that you can also play in your work environment :-)

Some of my favorites ( and this may be dating me LOL) are Joan Jett, Pat Benetar, Heart, Lita Ford and Stevie Nicks.

Oh man (as Janis herself would say).  I got to hang out in her old house/mansion in San Francisco, at the corner of Haight/Ashbury a few weekends ago.  A lot has changed...but it is still a beautiful house.  I know the guy who owns it now!

I'm not familiar with Superchic but I'll have to check em' out.  I had heard Christian Rock before but it never really did anything for me until I discovered Fly Leaf.  Have you heard their music?  Amazing.

I'm a Siouxie fan as well.

Also love Blondie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, L7, Veruca Salt, Heart and appreciate the underground punk girl rocker scene of which I have not found in Norfolk yet.

Gwen Stefani has made waves, she has her own style and she makes motherhood look hot!
