I have always heard the chocolate can cause acne - does that apply to white chocolate? All chocolate? Is it the sugar in it or some other kind of ingredient?? Just Curious!!

I believe that chocalate being bad for the skin is just a rumor.  I honestly think its the hormones that cause us to crave chocolate that causes the increase in acne not the chocolate its self.

It wasn't until I hit my thirties that I started to break out after eating chocolate. Now if I have a chocolate bar I swear the next day I break out...ugh. Not sure if it makes a difference whether it is white or dark...still I'll deal with a pimple if I'm craving because to me there really is no substitute for good chocolate!

I have been suffereing from audlt onset acne for atleast 7 years now.  I've been seeing a dermatologist for 3, have never figured it out.  I didn't by milk for about a month and my skin cleared up at the same time.  Bought a gallon of milk and had three new bumps the next morning!  So I went online and checked it out and sure enough milk causes acne for alot of women.  I've made sure to stear clear of milk since and my skin is clear again.  Milk comes from pregnant cows and the hormones from the cows causes our skin to produce extra oils. I guess that could run over into the chocolate as well!

Actually, white chocolate is not truly chocolate. It lacks the coco bean that makes milk/dark chocolate. That's why dogs can eat white chocolate. So it doesn't carry the same composition that milk/dark chocolate has. With most stuff, it's all about moderation, but I don't think white chocolate has the same benefits (antioxidants).
