"Tragedy in Tin Can Holler"
Posted 2 months ago My book was published in May '07. "Tragedy in Tin Can Holler" is a true story of my life as a child growing up in domestic violence until the age of seven when my father viciously murdered my mother. My siblings and I were then thrown into the foster care system where we were abused. I was a foster child for over twelve years of my childhood. My book is an outlet for me to warn others about the dangers of domestic violence and the aftermath of what happens to the children. I do a lot of public speaking in order to help others. I am an advocate speaker against domestic violence and child abuse. I have been a spokesperson for CASA for over a year. If any of you know of someone who is living in domestic violence and won't leave or someone who needs to be inspired because they left, please encourage them to read my book. They will be glad they did. You can tell them to check out my websites; www.tragedyintincanholler.com and www.myspace.com/rozettamowery. They can also read the comments in my guestbook and the reviews on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. No one should allow another person to abuse them or their children. Domestic violence is a "learned behavior"....children see and children do. Domestic violence was in my family for over 6 generations and I have taken a stand to say, "No more domestic violence"....this curse is going to stop now! All the details are in my book. I had to research back a century before I was born and uncovered the horrible skeletons in my family closet. Love and God Bless, Rozetta Mowery, Author |
