There is some malicious spy ware abounding in cyberspace. I want to pass along a free anti-spy ware program that works.

Yesterday, we were hit with some nasty spy ware. Every few seconds, a pseudo-virus protection popped up on the screen, and then porn and a few other unsavory websites were icons on my main page. Note, I did not click on the virus protection screen; I continued to delete it and the icons. Ironically, we run Norton's every day and stay on "safe" sites.

Norton Antivirus ran for 12 hours cleaning up the mess caused by this spy ware or malware. I have no idea how it snuck in, but it was a major annoyance, but the spy ware continued to run. However, we used SAS, www.superantispyware.com to eradicate the problem. It worked great!

Today, I read that the theft of data occurs more often when consumers activate the "forgot password" on a legitimate site. As always, be vigilant if you suspect something is awry. I hope this helps other posters.
