Gentlemen what is the one thing that you think women need to know or accept to understand men better?

These aren't meant to represent all guys, just me.

1. I, personally, am not OCD. That means I'll be a little lazy when it comes to chores, picking stuff up, etc. Ask me once and it'll get done, just stop pestering me about it.

2. If I'm dating you, I don't want to go into detail about your past relationships. I also don't want to go into detail about my past relationships.

3. Sometimes when I say I feel a certain way, that's about all I have to say. Getting asked for more iteration is only frustrating and it makes me feel like I'm not communicating effectively or that I'm not feeling effectively.

succinct and lucid - thanks, distantwizard. i think you just represented more men than you know. and most wouldn't be able to articulate it as well as you just did!

When we bicker or argue, it usually involves both of us. Don't think that by brushing off a conflict ("I don't want to talk about it", "Whatever", "Can't we stop arguing?" etc.) you are actually diffusing anything; it takes real work to resolve some disputes, not just a dismissal. I find myself most attracted to women who are willing to engage me in serious debate, even if things get a little hairy sometimes. Suggest that we talk things out once we've cooled down, if it's getting too heated.

Hey guys.

I was wondering, why are guys so uneasy or embarrased to be with a gal who actually knows how to work (logging/uprooting trees, being a handyman, ....) ya, a gal who is feminine, yet can hang with the guys with no problem.

I can be a helluva handyman, a great logger, can shoot whiskey like a pro, be semi-entertained with the game...yet am a girl.

Why do guys get grossed out by being with me? Am I really that bad?

ha ha...needwork08... where are you at? ha ha?

what the hell do you mean that guys get grossed out with you? you sound like a fun girl to be around. you remind me of a really good friend of mine i went to school with in Oregon. She's a damn catch-  we've been friends for years.... she has the same problem.

I mean to me you sound like a catch. Ive never logged- but i grew up in the Pacific Northwest and a lotta guys and gal's parents were in logging or were loggers. Some of the guys and girls i knew probably are now.

Its like that for the girl gamers out there too... there were a couple girls growing up that were into videogames too and we used to play games for hours..... some guys thought they were wierd..... i thought those guys were stupid....

Im not sure what the guys' problem happens to be where you're at. But ill take a stab at it. I guess they're intimidated by a woman being handier than they are (or think they're supposed to be) and it makes them feel insecure. Or maybe its more on line i suppose with perhaps some men dont want to see women as equals.  Level playing field.  that sort of thing.

Keep you chin up chickie! Dont let em get you down.... you're a f#cking catch and dont you forget it.

Thank you for putting that so blunt. I won't forget! Promise!

Yeah they get grossed out by me! In their weirded out opinons, Levi's and a tool box is their gig, whereas frills and martini's are for us!

Where am I at? right smack dab in the Bible Belt, aka, Illinois. I realllllyyyyyy  miss Montana...

Do you think it would creep out a fella if I asked him to turn around so I can study his butt? I have to ask before I try that one... LOL

there is no such thing as guy and girl stuff. Most times I'm more into the basketball game than my guy friends...I'm like one of the fellas, I just don't scratch myself. LOL....but for a long time I found it hard for guys to take me seriously on a romantic level, especially after we played ball or something...

He is the new member, Patrick Miliano. I am going to try to bully him to help answer questions also. He's kinda sensitive, ok he's a really sensitive guy. So, he should be able to answer all the mushy questions!

Stace, you are awesome, and you're a catch, too!  Some woman is going to be really, really lucky when she lands you! (and, as I've said before, he's a Harley man)
