Guys, if your perfect woman cooked you the perfect meal, what would it be?

As a backward type thing, my man cooks. I love it when he asks me if things are OK to put together in a dish as his taste buds seem to be dead. xD

Seriously, he once made a dish in which he paired up oysters and peanut butter. He loved it, but I thought it was gross.

My guy is happy if I cook meat and potatoes even if I sneak in some fresh vegetables.

My husband would say anything with meat and potatoes so I'd probably make a nice steak and roasted potatoes...easy enough!

My husband is a meatatarian. I think he would pass out if I actually made him eat a meal without meat...lol I joke with him about it all the time. over all he dont care what is for dinner as long as there is plenty of MEAT...LOL

It depends on the man - it's ridiculous to say that all men are satisfied with "meat and potatoes".  I'm certainly as hell not.

A couple of tips for the novice:

1) Pick up the "Joy of Cooking" - it's often overlooked

2) Don't cook something for a date that you haven't made before

3) Taste at each step during the cooking process and correct flavor if necessary - don't be religious about following a recipe, use your taste

4) Take the time to creatively "plate" your dish: use garnishes and a plastic squeeze bottle to apply sauces

I would have to go with Will on this one. My fiance likes alot of different things; of course he still likes meat and potatoes, but he prefers chicken over red meat; loves pasta and fish; will eat Spaghetti O's and Ramen noodles in a pinch!! He likes the side dishes better than the meat most of the time!! He is a pretty good cook too and knows how to make gravy from scratch - he also loves mexican food too!!

I like to make dishes from other countries and cultures. Most are successful but some are flops.

My hubby really enjoys trying them. He generally will eat it even if it is not very good. Luckily that isn't very often.

Will makes a good point about not being religious about following the recipe.  Some things need more or less salt or something and some ingredients just do not taste good together.

Some things take practice. It took me a while to make a Maki Roll  that didn't fall apart.
