I don't mind watching sports with a guy but I don't... looooove it.

Is this okay or am I doomed? If a guy is really into sports do they want a woman who will sit next to them and watch it with them all the time?

ImBossay your not doomed. I think guys like it to have their girl with them once in a while when watching sports. Unless both of you are die hard fans, I think they appreciate you being there once in a while. I am sure guys love it when they can watch sports with their pals. That is your cue ImBossay....call up a friend and go get pampered

I asked a male friend of mine this very question. He informed me that a guy would sometimes like for you to watch sports with him even if it's not all of the time. The idea is that it shows you are willing to spend time with him doing things that he is interested in as well. I agree with awinhold you are not doomed. :-)

I agree with Morgan, I think supporting some of the things he's interested in, scores some points in his eyes. And when he just wants to hang out with his guy friends, by all means, let him.....that's your cue to do something for you!

My boyfriend's reply: "I'd still be into baseball this much whether or not you liked it too, I'm glad you enjoy it somewhat instead of not at all!"

I like hockey live. I will watch the series in baseball. Anything else, I don't watch. My family were football nuts. It was so bad that Mom would plan Thanksgiving dinner around the game.

It is perfectly ok, and actually a strength in a relationship for you to have "your things" and him to have "his things" that each of you do separate of each other! A man will find it sexy that you can say: "go hon, have a great time with the guys at the game!"

My husband loves almost every sport, not to play mind you but to watch on TV.  So, I spend a lot of time in the same room with him, sometimes watching, but mostly reading or playing on the computer.  He loves it when I ask questions about the particular sport he's watching of when I make a comment about the game that surprises him that I know.

What is the big deal about watching sports with guy?I say watch it if it interests you else dont.It sure is nice to get involved in activities of mutual interest, but that does'nt mean you necessarily have to lilke what he likes or vice versa.A relationship should also allow you to have your own space,to persue things that you like alone or with friends or your partner.I dont think watching sports with a guy is instrumental in anything.

No your not doomed, but having something else in common with your mate never hurts. You don't have to be in love with sports to watch a game or two.

I thought the WHOLE reason for watching sports was to check out the guys?  You mean they are actually DOING something?  Do realise if I am watching sports I refer to them as "you you mean the guy with the great ass and the nice legs who caught the ball"?, "I wonder what other moves that soccer player can do with the OTHER head...." or "Wow I didn't know someones butt looked so good running around bases....maybe I should start running"!  The only thing I learned not to do is point out the cute guys as I am watching them, it gets you weird looks from the guys you are sitting with.  Also, do not say you would 'hit that' wish he would 'tackle you too' or any other such things because you will get the other girlfriends/wives into it and pretty soon the guys do not want to watch the game anymore because you are 'ruining it' for them.....sheeshhh!

Yeah, checking out the cute guys with nice butts and legs is my motivation too! It's a guy that plays for the Colts (football for those who don't know), he's so fine...I plan to go to a game, just so I can see how his butt looks in person!!! woohoo!!!

Baseball = Butts running around 'bases'  wearing tight pants holding failic like symbols (bats) and hitting fertile symbols (balls) in a 'manly' way.

WWF = men wearing spandex and 'playing' or 'wrestling' with each other but swear they are straight by displaying scantily clad girls to prove it.

Hockey = How many times we can get into a box to prove our 'manliness' and to what great lengths someone will go to hold a stick (again with the falic symbol) and hit a puck to get it into a goal (think dating girl = puck goal = bed other guys = other guys trying to get puck/girl!)

Soccer = To show women how flexible we are by displaying how bendy they are.

Lacross= again with the stick and the 'tackling' in 'manly' ways.....

Hmmmmm, I have a dirty mind.....but at least I am entertained watching these sports on the down side guys are always wondering why I am grinning ear to ear and laughing my ass off!

I was an athlete in school and dated a professional soccer player in college so I knew a little bit about sports when I met my husband.  But, my husband is a sports addict.  There is always some kind of sport on the TV.  I don't mind watching football or baseball (and of course soccer) but watching people drive cars in a circle or putt a little ball around do nothing for me and I just tune it out.  With the olympics coming up I'll be watching some of the events because to me the olympics are more about the sport and the athlete's accomplishments than the money.  These are true people who do this as their passion not for the money.

When my man goes to his buddy's house to watch TV sports that's my "self" time!  (I don't go along, even though some of the other girlfriends and wives do.)  Then he comes home all Tarzanned out and I'm feeling luscious.  It usually makes for a most excellent evening.

eh... it varies... some do and some dont.

me,  well if the woman im with is into sports that i like - that's great.

If she's not and wants to know/learn more about it , that's great too. (and if she finds that she doesnt like it, thinks it dumb, or whatever, that's okey too.

Personally, what i dont want (and this is simply my style) is for her to suffer watching sports or going to sports events that she really doesnt want to see or really doesnt care about.  I mean really.....how fun is it to be drug to some BS that you're not interested in and dont care about for hours on end?

Only catch is- i want the same consideration in return. However, im pretty laid back- even if i think something is gonna suck and i wont like it, i'll give it a whirl once. If i still think it sucks, im not doing it again., lol.
