What's your favorite - light, creamy chocolate? Or, dark and rich in cocoa?

Also, have you ever heard somebody say that Dark Chocolate actually improves your health? Think there's any truth in this?

I prefer light, creamy chocolate like in a caramello candy bar! That in combination with caramel makes for a wonderful candy treat. I have a sweet tooth and chocolate is one of my all-time favorite flavors. I believe that dark chocolate is good for you because it does help to lower high blood pressure because it has plant phenols - cocoa, that help to lower high blood pressure. According to Mauro Serifini, MD, Italy's Institute for Food & Nutrition Research, dark chocolate has antioxidants that eat up free radicals and destructive molecules that are implicated in heart disease. While knowing this, it does not mean eat as much chocolate as you can get. However, eating chocolate and treating yourself once in a while is fine. Balancing your food and nutrition along with it can make you feel better about nibbling on one of life's greatest pleasures - CHOCOLATE!

I used to only like light chocolate. But for some reason, as I've gotten older...I prefer the taste of dark chocolate! And yes, dark chocolate is healthy for you and has antioxidents which are good for your body's defense. I love chocolate dipped strawberries.....YUMMY!!!!

DARK thats the best. Dont get me wrong milk chocolate is good, however smooth dark chocolate is best. When i get the chance to enjoy a piece of DARK chocolate its so much more than eating a candy bar. Its almost like i am enjoying CHOCOLATE ALL GROWN UP. I enjoy eating small amounts at a time to savor the flavor much like sipping on a glass of wine. Dark chocolate covered espresso beans give you the best from both worlds - chocolate and coffee.

I love both, but it's the dark that I really prefer. It's such a rich, decadent pleasure to let it just melt in your mouth. I've really grown addicted to chocolate and orange together. Then I can convince myself that I'm getting twice the benefit!

Dark chocolate for me!! I especially love it with tea, or a big red wine. I’m salivating just typing this…

I'm also a fan of Nutella - the chocolate hazelnut spread.

CHOCOLATE!!!! Don't you love the way the word is spoken. There is a richness about it whether you have light or dark chocolate. Me? I love both kinds. I've learned that when I have light chocolate, well, I can't stop eating it. If I have dark chocolate I can have a smaller amount and be satisfied. I am an emotional eater so I guess it depends on the current feelings erupting when I choose a chocolate. Or what happens to be available when the craving hits! So for handfuls of pleasure-give me light. For a moment of desire-give me dark. Dessert? I prefer light. Red wine? I'll take dark. I guess it doesn't really matter when it comes to CHOCOLATE, does it?

Will you all go berserk if I suggest that I actually would rather have vanilla over chocolate ANY DAY? :)

I am a Dark Chocolate girl!! Always have been...always will be! My new favorite is making Dark Chocolate truffles  & dipping them in a Frambois dusting powder...it gives a nice touch of raspberry flavor without losing the taste of the dark chocolate! YUMMY!!! Oh yeah...it's also awesome in a creme blanc dusting powder, too!

I love milk and dark chocolate. I really like the Ghiradelli squares and Lindt, but I have a sweet tooth, so I'll take any of it to get my chocolate fix.

I like milk or light chocolate the best.

I have read from many different sources that dark chocolate is good for you.  It is an ingredient in the dark chocolate that makes it good for you but I can't remember what the ingredient is.

I like the light chocolates but have tried several darks, the last in the box that no one wanted or the ones my kids did not take small bites out of.I am a fanatic about chocolate, something about that taste that keep me wanting for more.I try to avoid it because too much breaks me out and I have to worry about all the extra pounds that can be added to my weight.I perfer chocolate over cakes and pies any day.

For my taste, ImBossay hit the nail on the head.

Red wine, strong coffee, dark chocolate-- joy!

I would have to say it depends on who makes the chocolate. Milk Chocolate: I will always be a hersheys fan (I know it's cheap but it's still my favorite). Dark Chocolate: I like the more pricier ones- the milk in the pricier brands seems a little too sweet for me. White chocolate is good but still a little too sweet. You just can't go wrong with chocolate.

I prefer the dark chocolate too! It's not as sweet, and is less overpowering...and good for you, of course! White chocolate I don't like...it's only made from the byproducts of real chocolate, hence is not real chocolate at all...

DARK CHOCOLATE.  Chocolate. Any chocolate.  Some say it's better than sex!

I have no preference. I love every type of chocolate equally as long as it's good quality chocolate.

I like a good smooth milk chocolate but there is definitely a place for dark...like truffles with raspberry, orange in it.

I don't like white chocolate, in fact I avoid it at all cost.  It isn't really chocolate to me, more like a confection with a strange taste and a stranger aftertaste and it's way too sweet which is really something coming from me.  I love sweets.

Bottom line, if it's chocolate I'll give it a try and probably like it.

Best formula so far for me is milk chocolate and a regular coca cola, for some reason the flavors just match really well and I don't drink soda much.  Favorite chocolate bar is probably a 3 Muskateers - with a coke.  Best ever is a box I got in Germany of milk chocolates shaped like shells, I don't remember the brand but it was devine.

Light or Dark Chocolate? Does this mean I can't decide, I like them both. However, I feel White Chocolate is a joke! It doesn't even taste like chocolate! It's sooooo pale!  I don't go out of my way to buy a white chocolate bar. Just my opinion, I hope I don't offend any white chocolate eaters. If I did my appolagies.
