This is the ultimate writing toy, uh, I mean, TOOL :) I cannot tell you how much I love my Neo. I was on the fence for the last couple of years because for $200 you usually want more than just a text "catcher" but I already have a MacBook and hate dragging it around for writing purposes. The Neo weighs less than 2 lbs. and is made out of football helmet material -- virtually indestructible. It runs for 700 hours on 3 AA batteries. NO CORDS!! The biggest personal reason I got it besides portability is because I am an undisciplined procrastinator and if I'm trying to write on my laptop, the internet sucks me in every time and I don't accomplish anything. True. So without internet capabilities, I can make myself sit in the corner (ANY corner) and type my goal number of words without distraction. This little device has saved my butt -- it helps me accomplish my writing goals better than my laptop. I would pay $500 for one, considering the benefits I get from it. There are other models too from AlphaSmart which run PalmOs applications, but this is just a typer. And exactly what I need!
