Ladies - if you are over 40 and have traveled extensively for business - how did we ever LIVE without these incredible little travel gadgets! I used to spend what seemed like hours on MapQuest, printing out a map from the airport to my hotel, from my hotel to the client's office, and then the reverse maps as well. It seemed like I still managed to get lost in spite of all my advanced preparation. Even before MapQuest, I kept copies of all those Avis maps and drew meticulous notes on them. No more! Seriously, with my Garvin, I truly have one less thing to stress me out on a business trip. They are very reliable, and if the price tag is off-putting, just try renting them on your next trip - most of the car rental companies will allow you to rent one for less than 10 bucks a day. They really can make a huge difference in the way you will do solo business travel. (now - I won't even get STARTED on how we dealt with business travel before cell phones...that's a whole other review!!!)
I was going to start this review and then I saw this one. I call it "peace of mind in a box". I am not good at getting around new places and with this,"she" tells you everything. I'm not kidding when I say it's a must have that you are going to wonder how you did without. The only recommendation I have is to make sure you put your info into the Garmin BEFORE you start to drive.
Great product, being a foreigner and driving on the wrong side of the road here in US with none or less sense of direction! this Technology is a blessing in disguise for me...Driving with confidence! and yes.. I agree with Sherrie get the info before you start driving.. it takes a few mins to acquire satellite in some areas... and when there is many intersections, 'she ' gets a bit confused so have to be a bit more vigilant.. Other than that.. I donot go anywhere without my 'Sweety' that's my Garmin's name!!
