| Description: | In this witty, satirical farce, secretaries Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and office manager Lily Tomlin live every female worker's dream after discovering they share the same resentment towards their egotistical, sexist boss (Dabney Coleman). When they get an unexpected chance to take revenge, they turn their male controlled workplace into a modle office - even as their scheme spins wildly out of control. |
I don't think people fully realize how forward-thinking this movie was. All the things those ladies were advocating for then are what companies are falling over themselves to figure out how to do right today. And of course, it's hysterical.
This movie is awesome. I've always wondered why Dabney Coleman was always cast as the chauvinist prototype in practically every movie he was in in the early 80s. He was a real ass in Tootsie too.
I love 9 to 5!!!
So funny, and doesn't everyone think of tying up the boss at least once in their lives? Great combination of actors.
Great cast of characters. And how true to life, if only we could all do this atleast once.
Most anything with Lily Tomlin in it, is funny. Dolly Parton did a great job, and is versatile in everything. Dabney Coleman played his part very well. I liked this movie because it was funny and entertaining.
9 to 5 made my sides hurt with laughter.
its right up there for women who work there butts off and get nothing...they didnt let anything stand in the way of bettering the workplace for women...does that happen much anymore?
I remember this movie from when I was little, I found it very funny especially the part when she put the rat posion in her bosses coffee.
This movie is a must for anyone who ever felt 'limited' by someone at work!!!
Three of the funniest lady's! One of my favorite lines "You're gonna need a separate locker for that hat" Said by Lily Tomlin to Jane Fonda.
