Description:	In TOP GUN, Tom Cruise stars as Maverick, a talented training pilot in an elite U.S. school for fighter pilots. When he stumbles upon some MiG's over the Persian Gulf, and his wingman panics, Maverick cleverly talks him through the situation to safety. Consequently, he is moved up in rank and sent to the Top Gun Naval Flying School. There he has several conflicts with other students while trying to live up to his deceased father's reputation. Unable to cope with the death of his best friend, and fellow pilot, Goose, Maverick contemplates dropping out, but follows through with his dream and ultimately becomes one of the "best of the best."

Saw this film about a dozen times for Tom Cruise and for one of my all time favourite songs..'You take my breath away' .

Was my favorite when first released and still up there. I love the military and this had everything: passion, action and good looking men in uniform most of the time. I loved Kelly McGillis's character in this movie and Meg Ryan was great too. Lots of actors who went on to do other great movies.

I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I haven't been in the military but I was wonderfully surprised. I liked it a lot! It had cockyness, smart reactions, romance, and an emotional rollercoaster for me. Tom Cruise became one of my favorites because of this movie.
