Yes, the teen years are tuff. I was 15 years old when I got married....not because I had to, but because I wanted to. I was 17 years old when I had my first beautiful baby girl. It was hard, we struggled along. I took my children with me on a motor paper route. We delivered 600 papers over 100 miles Monday thru Saturday. I breastfed my children and had a great time! I would not trade those times for education, though I believe in it! Reading to my children every night before they went to bed was wonderful. We had fun together, making cookies, sewing, even cleaning house and working in the garden. Sometimes we get all hung up about what we missed and miss what we have. My children are grown and now I have 3 more! Growing up all I wanted was to have a family, a home, that was my career path! I remember being 2 and 3 yrs. old and wanting 12 children. I am not afraid to be a girlie girl or to use a power tool. I am not afraid to go into the work force or to tell anyone the hard work that goes with having children at any age, but I am double sure to tell them, I WOULD NOT TRADE ANY pregnancy I had or any experience that we went through for the JOYS of Motherhood. I am not ashamed of who I was at 15 yrs old, or who I have become. I will end with a few questions ,who is really READY for children? Do you have enough money? or enough time? or a big enough house? or enough......????? Just love the children, grandchildren God blesses you with and if they decide to go another way than you have taught them..........love them all the more...........don't ever stop loving them......if they are troubled, an addict, a homosexual, love them.

The teen years are hard enough on a girl without being pregnant. Our daughter was in her 20's and became pregnant. She wasn't ready to have a child, let alone take on the responsibility of being a parent. Now I know that she was a little older than Sarah Palin's daughter, but still young. Like Sarah Palin and her family, we just let her know that we still loved her and supported her. We don't believe in abortion as our daughter was adopted, we told her that she still had a choice -- to keep the child or give the child up for adoption to those who couldn't have kids of their own. Can you imagine being on a 5 year waiting list to
get a baby?! Unfortunately, she had a fall while waiting at a bus stop and lost the child. Also, remember one thing: there are some children no matter how well you raise them they will do whatever they or the peer pressure puts on them. I just thank God that she was able to tell me about all the boys that thought it was great to have children and that was pretty much it. Pressure was put on the girls by the "boyfriends". It's how they stand up to that kind of pressure that matters most. We can always be there for them, but we can't always be there to make each and every decision for them.

A very good article -- one that we all need to read - for me, it is important to note that the Palin family still has this choice.

Let's remember we are speaking of an innocent life growing inside of the women. Our freedoms are not to infringe and violate anothers. Perhaps the baby growing inside is a female, isn't she entitled to womens rights, namely the right to life?
We should applaude those who face the consequences of thier choices by considering the innocent life inside them.
