Personal

About Me:: I started life as a scrawny, adopted, premature war baby, a few months too old to be a real "boomer". No longer scrawny, I'm coming to grips with the fact that I'm also no longer really "middle aged" -unless I think I can live to be older than 120. I never intend to be too old to enjoy puppies, kittens, cartoons and Saturday mornings. I believe rabbits were created just for the pure whimsy of their appearance. Nursing is my calling, but I didn't figure that out until first being a teacher, stay at home mom, and volunteer EMT. Geriatrics/geropsych is my area of expertise. Like career choice, marriage has also been trial and error process for me. I am fortunate enough to have finally found a "best friend" with whom I share a 64 year old "cottage', ownership by a cranky, yellow cat, and 5 grown children. "Girl time" with my daughter is one of my favorite things. A good novel and a comfy chair will keep me happily occupied for hours.
Hobbies:: Reading, Writing, Music, Movies
Favorite Movies:: could'nt name them all.
Favorite TV Shows:: Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, CBS Sunday Morning, Inside the Actor's Studio
Favorite Music:: almost any good music-- I have a thing for show tunes.

That is the coolest idea! I think I'll try that with mine, when they are of age! Movie, pedicures and facials are the specials of choice for us...but just being together is the best.
