About Me:
I'm a single mom with 2 children or should I say one pre-teen and a teenager(I know bless my heart.....right.) I enjoy going to my childrens school functions and sporting activities that they are involved in. My oldest is my son who sings in his schools Gospel Choir(THEY ARE GOOD!!) and runs Track, he's a pretty well rounded boy who has a good head on his shoulder. He's never got into any real serious trouble like being arrested by the police/law or being stopped for that matter and I thank God for that. My daughter she's taken dance lessons, cheerleading, played basketball since she was seven,(her team is really good, I look to see some of them in the WNBA within in the next 7-10 years.) and is now adding Cross Country(she'll be one of the ones in the city championship for her school.) and Track to her list. I am very proud of both of my children and wish them all the best in whatever they do that's positive in their lives. Being a single mom it's hard but I wouldn't trade it for the world. At the moment I'm considering a career change, and I am going to go back to college it's just a matter of getting the right financial aid in order to go I'm thinking of going into Health Care or Massage Therapy. I just know without at least a Bachelors Degree(which I don't even have my Associates Degree.) in this day and age it very difficult to find a decent job with an income you can feel comfortable with. Any how in my spare time like to read books,watch television, and for my exercise I walk.

    Thanks for the invite. All throughout high school my nickname was smiley. I wear it well, plus it goes with everything (lol). I know it is a struggle with those children, I have three and not even half way to the age that yours at at. My oldest swears that she is a teen already; she is 12 going on 21, but I am sure you know how that goes. Keep up the good work with them, you are the most important role in their life. I noticed that Rarebutterfly said she has to check out the bootleg ( girl you know how we do, (lol). I love Tyler Perry, anytime I need a good laugh, I just put his dvd in.

    I commend you for going back to school, it is never to late. My sister just went back for Paralegal and she is 45, and her daughter is in college also. Do not let the finances keep you away, where there is a will, there is a way, just tell the Lord what you want to do, and he will show you the way and provide whatever necessary funds you will need. You should check out Roxanne Ravenel, she may have some advice to help you out. Stay positive and blessed.

    Just to let everyone know my son didn't get a pink Ipod nano he got the silver one. I didn't proofread what I wrote that time and forgot it said in pink. I tried to edit my statement after it was submitted but it wouldn't let me. Anyway the Ipod nano as a whole ROCKS!
