Sun Microsystems is about 20 years old and in the process of completely reinventing itself. The new leadership is top-notch and the company culture is open, innovative, and progressive. Unfortunately the company has come across some hard times, which makes it a little harder to fully enjoy all that is has to offer.

Advice for prospective applicants:

Sun has some fantastic people to learn from, so is a great place to deepen your expertise in a particular area. Your development however is largely up to you - people are open, but you need to take the initiative.
