Because they are above average in most qualities but average for advancement opportunities for classified staff.
There is not always room for advancement. The working environment is nice and the people you work with are nice as well.
SUNYIT is a wonderful place to work. The people genuinely care about each other. The SUNYIT campus community is a very close-knit family that works hard to ensure a successful academic experience for students and a successful working environment for faculty and staff.
Advice for prospective applicants:
When applying, include a resume and (3) letters of reference. Follow up on a timely basis to make sure your resume has been received. After interviewing, it is common courtesy to send a thank you note to the person(s) you have interviewed with.
