Recently moving to WashingtonDC from Texas, I was quite surprised and pleased. I have visited since I was 19 years old, however living here is definitely different. I am excited that the job market is always changing and receptive. I adore that I am centrally located for business purposes. And the culture....there is something to do every night. Seeing women hold powerful positions, is not only inspiring, but necessary for young women. Just last week I was able to see Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and how she rose to power. Washington DC is absolutely one of a kind. :-)

Washington, DC metropolitan area is my home...I agree it is one of the most progressive, diverse and culturally rich cities in the nation. I am relocating currently from a long haitus of 9 years in Pittsburgh, Pa. It has grown and changed tremendoulsy --- but one thing remains the same. Its acceptance of powerful women.
